Yesterday, my mama bought Original buko pie as they walked along our subdivision. Taste test: which is more delicious and filling, Letys buko pie or Original buko pie. Original buko pie strengths..
1. Box – Letys box is smoother and shinier – Letys 1 point
2. Aroma – Letys smells really good even with the box closed! (try it) – Letys 1 point
3. Taste – Letys has more buko inside the pie, it gives you a ‘complete’ taste – even after storing it in your refrigerator for a day. Its a little sweet , just ok to go with your tea or coffee.
The verdict : Letys hands down (note : author is not related to any of the owners).
Do you agree?

After attending my nursery class at CSI, I gained a lot of playmates – I also learned how to take turns and sing praise songs. It was a blissful thing to discover new things. My mama and papa would be surprised at how I would sing songs for them. They said it was their “stress remover.” For me it was lovely to hear myself finally learning to put beautiful sounding words together – and I tell you, it was very much appreciated by my parents (and our kapitbahay – “neighbors”).
This summer, my mama enrolled me in a reading class. Funny that its a class filled with bullies – bullies that deep in their minds were cowards. What they couldnt express inside the classroom (which was reading) they spill it out after class. I feel proud that the books that my mama and papa brought for me – I am already able to read.
First big step to my literacy – thanks Mama and Papa.

Today my Papa mentioned how a huge huge company like PLDT fail to find a quick solution ( slower than your average dial up internet card) to his dsl plan. For 10 long days – their customer service dept (172) kept saying they are still monitoring the issue. Crap -
Any other better dsl providers?

Yesterday, I was feeling a little uneasy and restless. I think too much playing time with my cousin has somehow made me forget to slow down and do some quite reading (Bible for kids and Barney books) on my own. I’ve also learn to let go of the playtimes that only involve me and my imagination – being a jeepney driver, a doctor and again back to becoming a jeepney driver. Drawback, maybe. Well, i was surprised yesterday that after our 2pm siesta, my mama and papa asked me and my cousin to come with them (along with my ate beth). They met with some accountant – then after that we got some goodies at KFC and we proceeded to the – field! 2 times in a week?! Am I dreaming? This is getting better I thought. Yes, my papa has finally learned to be present. Its the best gift at least one could ever have each day of his / her life. A lot of adults get caught up thinking of their past mistakes (and the couldve beens and shouldve beens) and also freeze up when thinking of the future (of how to survive inflation, global warming, peace and order, savings and retirement plans and yes – educational plans too). But indeed, our God is far more better than all those combined. We oftentimes, ‘belittle’ His genuine concern over our earthly needs. When you are 5 years old, you are always present… That alone makes me far better than I was yesterday and still – yet ever ready to what will happen tomorrow.

Last saturday, after my afternoon siesta me and my papa went to the UPLB field. It was one of those blissful times – bonding moments. The moment we hit the uplb grounds, my feet were like remote control cars that needed some breaking in. I love the field, I love seeing all the kids, the free unadulterated air, those having picnics, the dogs walking and running around. This is a terrific reminder of how God showers us with places and things that can occupy our time and still commune with HIM. We had those presto creams and some water for snacks. The whole afternoon went fine. No escalators, airconditioned areas, battery operated cars, loud musics. It was relaxing – in God’s little playground. Beat that.
